Q: What is your style of wedding wedding photography?

A: I approach every wedding ceremony as a photojournalist but the style is determined by your preferences. While some prefer a more

formal style and others want a candid approach, I've found that most prefer a blend of traditional and photojournalistic photography. I have

a strict policy to never intrude on your ceremony. I will also consult with you and/or your ceremony official to understand if thereare any

rules or restrictions on photography during your ceremony.

Q: How much time should I allow for wedding photography?

A: Preparations: Between one to four hours
Wedding Ceremony: Between 20 minutes to an hour and a half
Post-ceremony: Allow about 20 minutes for your guests to greet you after the ceremony
Family portraits: About 30 minutes
Wedding party portraits: About 30 minutes
Portraits of the two of you alone: About 45 minutes to three hours. We can work together to determine the amount of time you wish

to allocate for this.
Reception: There is usually a 30 minute window of time between the cocktails and dinner. Dinner can take about an hour. Speeches

take between 20 minutes to an hour. Cake cutting usually follows the speeches. After that, the first dances start. Guests usually dance

for about 30 minutes before the bouquet toss and garter toss. Some people want to resume their party without photographers but we are

happy to stay upon request.

Q: How many photographers and assistants do you use at weddings?

A: I, Marisa Swarbrick, personally shoot each wedding. I usually have one assistant.

Q: Do you photograph with digital equipment or film?

A: After years of using strictly film, I am currently shooting only digital. Clients receive their digital master files on a disc with no copyright

restrictions.

Q: If I want certain photos taken, may I give you a list so you can make sure to get them?
A: Absolutely, the photos that are most important to you are most important to me.

Q: Do you have backup equipment?

A: Yes. I will have at least two cameras with me in case of an unforeseen emergency.

Q: Do you allow other people to take photographs while you are working?

A: It's quite all right if someone wants to take a photograph after we have shot a given pose, but other people taking excessive number of

photographs during this time can cause delays in the formal session and therefore lead to an inevitable delay getting to the reception.
